Huge thank you to Ashleigh from Passion for Life, Love and Health, while I may be biased because she’s my Healthy Living Summit roomie, you should check out her Sunday Shout out post…you’ll probably see a familiar face
Even though the majority of my weekend was spent behind a computer trying to get a project out, we still got a bike ride in! While we both had work to get back to, we didn’t plan on doing a fast ride, but somehow managed to knock out five miles faster than ever before.
I really need to talk about how crazy this week was music wise! I went for quite a while without any concerts in my life, not normal for me at all.
I mentioned it last week, but it’s worth noting again (and again, and again.) I was given tickets last Friday to see the Backstreet Boys the day of the show!
Then Tuesday rolled around and I finally saw the man I’d been waiting to see since his first album was released, Bruno Mars!
His voice is amazing (even better live!) and his show was fantastic! I’ve apparently gotten spoiled over the years because when he went off stage after 1.5 hours I was left saying, “That’s it? It’s over? I’ve been waiting since February and it’s done?”
But yeah, it was totally worth it and I would see him again in a heartbeat. (I may or may not have looked to see if tickets were available for a show the following night in Tampa…) It was during this concert I also realized how ignorant and rude people are.
So then Thursday night, Jeff and I got hooked up and we got to go to another amazing Yelp Elite event. This one was at the Hard Rock Hotel Orlando – Velvet Sessions show with Modern English. Yes please! Drinks, apps, and a concert. Done.
We had so much fun and it’s always great to see friends and meet new Yelp people The best/strangest thing about this series of concerts is that they are held in the hotel lobby. You’re trying to picture it, I know… It was so funny to look towards the check in desk and see people trying to check it or just happen to come down to the lobby to do something, their faces were priceless, but I guess if you’re staying in the Hard Rock Hotel you should expect concerts at any time
The concert is right around the corner. Those monitors are showing the concert, that’s how intimate these shows are. You can stand anywhere and see them.
Oh and I should mention, Jeff decided he had his own “VIP area” … ummm…yeah, this is my new favorite picture. He was standing behind a railing that I was in front of.
“Stop! You can’t come in MY VIP area. I have a glass vase.”
This post had a point…
Oh yeah! Goals! I tried weekly goals last month and I wasn’t a huge fan. So I thought this month I’d try out monthly goals!
Weekly or monthly goals? What’s your choice?
