What do I mean by that question? Seems a bit tedious right?
Well, hear me out.
It’s a question I get when my blog comes up in “real life” (that just sounds weird…)
I blog because…
First and foremost, I blog for myself. Sound selfish? Maybe, but that’s not how I mean it. I feel like I need to have all of these posts (as random as most of them are) to look back on and see just how far I’ve come. I mean just over the past 2 months I’ve gotten a bike and become active and it’s an activity that doesn’t seem like “exercise” to me. I want to know when I feel burnt out on biking (god forbid!) the reasons I love it.
The second most important reason is you. I’m hoping that if one person reads my blog and a post draws some kind of emotion out of them (hopefully a positive one!) then I’m doing the right thing. I want people that are 240+ pounds and aren’t sure where to start to know that they aren’t alone. I’ve been on this weight loss journey for years and I’m still trying to find my way.
Plus, I get to tell you about some of the awesome products I love and about the cool events I’ve been fortunate enough to attend!
My blog is also a way for my family and friends to see what I’m up to. I’m not really good at calling people, so I feel like if they want to know what I’m up to, they can easily check in on me. However, I do need to get better about calling my friends. (Sorry guys!)
Because of the randomness I write on a weekly basis I’ve made some amazing friends. Between the blogger meetups I’ve gone to, Twitter chats, and everything in between I’ve been lucky enough to call some amazing people friends!
And I am able to go to a blog conference and geek out for four full days about blogging! My own kind!
So yeah, that’s why I blog.
